Terms of Service

Wordaboo, by Needed Labs · Last updated 23 September 2026

These terms cover your use of the Wordaboo mobile app, published by Needed Labs — a trading name of Zarina Giyasova, Switzerland. Installing or using the app means you accept them. If you don't, please don't use the app.

You may see either name. Wordaboo is listed as Needed Labs on Google Play and as Zarina Giyasova on the App Store. They refer to the same person, and these terms apply whichever store you installed from.

These terms are also published in other languages. If a translation and this English version ever differ, the English version is the one that applies.

1. Who can use Wordaboo

You must be 13 or older to use Wordaboo. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. Wordaboo is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

2. Your account

Your first lesson needs no account. To carry on after that you sign in — with Google, with Apple, or with an email address and password — which also keeps your progress in sync between devices. You are responsible for keeping that account secure: anyone who can sign in to it can reach your Wordaboo progress.

You can delete your account at any time. See the account deletion page.

3. Wordaboo Premium

Offline access and Premium. Premium works offline for a limited window between connections, because the app has to check with the store periodically that the subscription is still active. If it cannot check for longer than that window, Premium features pause until the app is next online. This is described in the privacy policy.

4. Ads

The free version shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Don't try to interfere with, block, or artificially interact with them — repeated invalid activity may result in losing access to the app. Premium removes ads entirely.

5. Hearts, bubbles and other in-app items

Bubbles, hearts, XP, streaks and badges have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts. We may adjust how they work as the app changes.

6. Fair use

Please don't:

All content in the app — lessons, artwork, the Blip character, the name and logo — belongs to Needed Labs. Your progress data belongs to you.

7. Learning outcomes

Wordaboo is a study aid. We work hard to keep the courses correct, but we do not guarantee any particular level of fluency, exam result, or that every translation suits every context. Languages have regional variation and exceptions; treat the app as practice, not as an authority.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, change, or discontinue features, courses or the app itself. If we discontinue Premium we will stop charging and let any paid period run out. We may suspend access for anyone breaking these terms.

9. Liability

Wordaboo is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Needed Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep all the statutory rights your local law gives you.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, with the competent Swiss courts having jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also bring proceedings in your own country, and mandatory consumer protections there still apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, the date at the top is updated and the change is announced in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Wordaboo after that means you accept the new terms.
